When creating a theoretic Olympic brand, I chose to use Mumbai as a location for the 2020 summer games. Keeping in mind the environmental and economical struggles that follow most host cities after the Olympics, I created a brand that pushes public transportation, sustainable electricity, and water conservation. The main logo is a brightly colored geometric lotus flower, the national flower of India. I incorporated the Hindi characters for “Olympics” as well. The goal was to really infuse the local culture into the branding.
